The introduction of US combat troops into the Philippines marks a dangerous new phase in the US' military intervention in the Philippines. We will mobilize all our forces, bring our own banners and distribute our own statement. Let's mobilize all our members, friends and allies to oppose the entry of US combat troops into the Philippines. Let's make our message felt loud and clear: YANKEE TROOPS GO HOME! US OUT OF THE PHILIPPINES! On Thursday, January 24, 2002, let's all meet at 5:00 PM sharp at Powell & Market Sts. in front of the Powell BART station. (Please don't be late!) We will then march to the Philippine Consulate (447 Sutter St.).
