What is Deep Green?
Deep Green is an empowering conference combining interactive workshops, speakers, skill trainings, hands-on activities, creative performances, and celebration! Organized by youth and for youth, this two-day event explores environmental, social justice, and other activism issues in the Bay Area and the world.
Deep Green 2004...
• Is participatory, collaborative, and dialog-based — workshop leaders won't be just talking at you.
• Has a planned structure but is also open and free-form.
• Provides a framework for your activism to take root through the things you enjoy doing (i.e. art, writing, organizing, etc.)
• Gives you a network of similar individuals with whom you can share ideas and passions.
• Gives you the resources to turn your passion into action.
Who, What, Where...?
This year's conference will take place on February 7 & 8, 2004, at Peninsula School in Menlo Park. More information is coming soon! To be alerted when the details are confirmed, email the Schools Group.
