On Saturday, January 10, community members will gather to celebrate the birthday of one of America’s most important, revered, and inspirational leaders. You are invited to join the fabulous Folk This! ensemble in honoring Dr. King’s memory by singing songs of hope and peace. In a time of continuous war and assaults on our civil rights and liberties, we will pause to join together in joyfully celebrating Dr. King’s life and work bringing justice and peace to the people of this country and the world. For the sixth year in a row, Folk This!, which specializes in the music of social movements, will bring their musical talent and enthusiasm to lead us in song. Light refreshments will be provided. Suggested donation $7-$15; no one turned away for lack of funds. Proceeds benefit Midpeninsula Citizens for Fair Housing and Peninsula Peace and Justice Center.
