Please join our panel of distinguished professors and journalist from all over the United States for a discussion followed by Q and A discussing human rights in Iran and honoring Shirin Ebadi, 2003 winner of the Noble Peace Prize.
Speakers include:
Danny Postel - Freelance journalist, contributor to The Nation, Z Magazine and Daedalus, among other publications.
Dr. Rita Maran - President of United Nations Association USA (east bay chapter) and lecturer at UC Berkeley.
Dr. Reza Afshari - Professor at Pace University and author of many books, including “Human rights in Iran: the Abuse of Cultural Relativism”.
Dr. Mohammad Parvin - Founding Director, Mission for Establishment of Human Rights in Iran and adjunct professor at California State University.
