Meet at 4 pm by the Berkeley Pier (at the sundial), western tip of University Ave., on the Bay

Jerry Sager, who in the late 1970s headed development/p.r. at KPFA, and earlier was a supervisor backing union organizing at the Bay Guardian, died in October 2003 in San Francisco. A Navy veteran of the Korean War, he was active in protests against the Vietnam War, and a longtime supporter of labor and peace struggles. We are holding an informal memorial gathering to mourn and honor him, on Wed., Dec. 3, beginning 4 pm, at the landward end of the Berkeley Pier--by the Bay he so loved. There will be memories shared, and local singer Carol Denney will sing. Come join us.
