The city of Oakland wages a brutal war of occupation against the African community. This war includes:
-African students pushed out of the school system - 75% of African high school students in Oakland drop out before graduation.
-Widespread police brutality against the African community - When the police are exposed for torture, planting drugs and evidence, they go free as in the case of the "Oakland Riders."
-An illegal drug economy. While the African community experiences an economic embargo in the legal economy, an illegal economy is propped up, creating mayhem, desperation and murder.
-Complicity from the white community. The white community stands chillingly silent as this war continues, an ethnic cleansing against our African neighbors.
Come to an organizing meeting of the African People's Solidarity Committee to organize a stand against the war on the African community. The U.S. government relies on white complicity as it commits genocide against the African community. APSC works under the leadership of the Uhuru Movement in the white community for solidarity through truth, reconciliation and reparations.
