The documentary Chattel uncovers the mistreatment and abuse inflicted on animals in this country's vivisection industry -- abuse that continues despite widespread opposition to animal experiments causing even moderate pain and distress. Highlights include interviews with primate expert Jane Goodall, a former USDA laboratory inspector, several physicians, exciting HLS campaign footage, and a former employee of the Oregon Primate Research center. The interviews, interspersed with footage of protests and from inside the labs drive home the terrible suffering of the animals and the need for the immediate abolition of the vivisection industry. When: Thursday, November 6th @ 8pm Where: Artists Television Access (Valencia @ 21st in SF) Cost: $5 For more information contact the Animal Rights Direct Action Coalition @ (415)364-3053
