STOP THE FEMICIDE in the boardertown of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico. In the last ten years since the implementation of NAFTA up to 370 bodies of murdered and often sexually violated women and girls have been found in the desert outside of Juarez. These women are mostly sweat-shop workers with no protection from their employers or their own government. Women's right;s groups around the globe are outraged yet the Mexican (and U.S.) government does nothing to stop these murders and only vlaims the women for dressing 'wrong' and going out at night when they should stay at home. Join us with spoken-word from SOLIDAD DECOSTA, ANANDA ESTERA and WENDY-O-MATIC, with punk and experimental, lotta-grrrl bands BLACK BLTTLE, THE SICK, RIOT-A-GO-GO, SHEVIL-KENEVIL and MORE!! All proceeds go directly to the resistance in JUarez.
