"Sunset Story" Portrayal of Senior Political Activism Onscreen
"Sunset Story" , an intimate, funny documentary drama that goes inside the world of two senior women at "Sunset Hall", an old-age home for political radicals in Los Angeles will screen at the Mill Valley Film Festival. Filmmaker Q + A to follow.
The documentary follows the women's odd couple friendship and dedicated activism up into their nineties and has played to great critical acclaim, winning the Audience Award, at the Los Angeles Film Festival ('03) and the Special Jury Award, Tribeca Film Festival ('03).
