The Bay Area Celebrates the 10th Anniversary of the Zapatista Uprising in Chiapas, Mexico! The Zapatistas rose up in arms on January 1st, 1994 and their revolution is still going strong. Come and celebrate with us for a night of music, dancing, and zapa-education! Wednesday, Dec. 31st, 2003 8:30pm - 2:00am $15 The Humanist Hall 390 27th Street, Oakland. Near 19th Street BART stop. Performances by: Cuauhtonal (Danza Azteca) Son de la Tierra (musica son jarocho) Bodhi Busick Band (rock politico) Orixa (rock en espanol/cumbia) Plus other local poets, spoken word, and lots of zapatista education!
