Confronting Disinformation Film and Speaker Series Film: DIRECT ORDER Speaker: PETER PHILLIPS of PROJECT CENSORED Thursday, August 28th, 7 p.m. New College Cultural Center, 766 Valencia Street, San Francisco Direct Order shows how the Defense Department jeopardizes the lives of hundreds of thousands of U.S. GIs, experimenting on them with a dangerous Anthrax vaccine that the Food and Drug Administration has refused to approve. Interviews with dozens of permanently disabled U.S. troops of many ranks, including physicians and nurses who have been court-martialed for refusing to go along. The film will be followed by discussion with Peter Phillips of Project Censored. Sponsored by Network against Disinformation, Social Justice Committee of the Berkeley Unitarian Fellowship, and New College Media Studies MA Program. Donations requested.
