Each month, one or more locally-based activists, in response to the question: So how’d you become an activist?, share their experiences and influences that helped them become effective forces for change.
This month, our speakers will be:
Jennifer Stone, writer, poet, feminist. Her incisive and provocative commentaries on politics and culture are heard twice weekly on KPFA-FM. You've probably heard her; here's your chance to interact with her!
David Solnit, co-founder, Art & Revolution and a key organizer of major mass direct actions, including the 1999 Seattle WTO shutdown and the recent shutdown of the San Francisco financial district in response to the U.S. attack on Iraq.
