Dr. Bazian will examine the links between Palestine and Iraq as they relate to long-standing U.S. interests in the region, providing a wider view of the ongoing conflicts there.
A native Palestinian with a Ph.D. in Islamic Studies from UC Berkeley, Dr. Bazian currently serves as lecturer in the Near Eastern and Ethnic Studies Departments there. For years he has been an advocate of justice for minorities and the Palestinian people, and provides unique perspectives on the issues of Islam, Muslims and world politics.
