RULA KHALAFAWI: "A ROAD MAP FROM BAGHDAD TO JERUSALEM" Thursday May 15, 7-9 pm New College, 777 Valencia Street, Room 4, S.F. Rula Khalafawi of Global Exchange will present a timely lecture, entitled "A Road Map from Baghdad to Jerusalem", connecting the occupation of Iraq with the US "Road Map to Middle East Peace" proposed for Israel and the Palestinians. May 15, 2003 commemorates the 55th anniversary of Al-Nakba: the Palestinian forced expulsion in 1948. Ms. Khalafawi's presentation will illuminate how after 55 years of dispossession, life in exile, and occupation, the Palestinian people are still seeking justice for their cause. Ms. Khalafawi's talk will be accompanied by a power point presentation with a compelling comparison between former Apartheid South Africa and Israel's occupation. Rula Khalafawi works with Global Exchange's Human Rights Campaign for Palestine. Sponsored by Global Exchange and New College Center for Education & Social Action. Suggested donation $5 - no one turned away for lack of funds. For more information: Global Exchange, 415-575-5539
