Based in downtown Baghdad, Nobel Peace Prize-nominated activist Kathy Kelly witnessed the US-led invasion of Iraq: the people killed and wounded by U.S. weapons, and the damaging of homes, hospitals and markets. Kelly and fellow Iraq Peace Team members spoke with affected families and with U.S. soldiers. With heartfelt eloquence, Kelly has documented Iraqi suffering, offering compassion and solidarity to the Iraqi people for 13 years in her tireless activism against the US sanctions which have killed 1 1/2 million Iraqis.
