"Rise Up, Stop the War" Photo Exhibit and Benefit for Immigrant Workers

“Filipino Activism and Immigrant Rights in the Bay Area Benefit” (sponsored by the Critical Filipino Studies Collective and, Asian American Studies and Philippine Studies, USF) and “Rise Up, Stop the War! Asian Americans in the Anti-War Movement” Photo Exhibit. All proceeds from benefit will go to PAWIS (Peoples Association of Workers and Immigrants) a Filipino immigrant worker led and organized group that came together as a result of post-9/11 immigrant scapegoating which led to the massive lay off of Filipino airport screeners throughout the Bay Area. PAWIS continues to struggle for the rights and welfare of Filipino immigrant workers.
