BLACKFIRE is a Native American (Diné) traditionally influenced, high-energy, politically driven group comprised of two brothers and their sister. Born into the heart of a political land dispute area on Black Mesa in the Navajo Nation, this Family's powerful music reflects the hopes, freedoms, and barriers of today's world. Blackfire's style comprises traditional Native American, Punk, Ska and Alternative with strong sociopolitical messages about government oppression, relocation of indigenous people, eco-cide, genocide, domestic violence and human rights. www.blackfire.net
BLESSED I, aka Marisa Aniel - a San Francisco native, transforms poetry into both spiritual and conscious messages through Hip-Hop music. Inspired by artists/musicians such as Bob Marley and Marvin Gaye, her lyrics overlay hard knock sounding beats served over smoothed out melodies.
RAS K’DEE, the lead vocal for the Revolutionareez, has recently released his debut solo album, Transcendental State of Music, for Nucuma Records. Ras K’dee has performed with artists like Strictly Roots, Eek-A-Mouse, Living Legends, Loco Bloco, Martin Luther and Tre’s Legend of Phoenix. His music challenges recycled radio rap and reaches far beyond graphic sex, drugs and violence to inspire all people to reach higher.
8.BLISS is an MC and spoken word artist living in the Bay Area..
The Not In Our Name Project is a national network active in the resistance to the US government policies of war and repression post-9/11.
