Spirituals: Connecting Old (1 Hundreds) Meter Hymns, Preaching, and Benefits Yet to be Seen
Rev. Dr. Leonidas A. Johnson, Presenter
Rev. Dr. Leonidas A. Johnson, will speak on the rarely discussed topic, Spirituals: Connecting Old Meter Hymns, Preaching, and Benefits Yet to be Seen. He will focus on spirituals, "the old 1 hundreds”/"Dr. Watts" songs, and Black preaching, showing the common African and slavery roots and the strengths inherent in them. He is a dentist, a third generation preacher, and is the founder of Crystal Fountain Ministries in Diamond Bar, California. He is the author of many books, including Go Down Moses! and Bread of Heaven Songs of Praise: (available for purchase now, during, and after the forum). Join us; let us sing and learn about spirituals and hymns together.
