Oakland. (Cross Street: Brooklyn, on the Lakeshore Avenue side of
Lake Merritt).
In the far north of Alaska, America's great wild heritage lives on in
the pristine Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. But oil developers are
pushing to drill into the Refuge's coastal plain, birthing grounds of
the caribou and many other Arctic species and a sacred place for the
Native Alaskan Gwich'in.
This video shows why Americans are so passionate about ensuring that
"America's Serengeti" endures intact and unspoiled, forever.
Produced by Doug Prose and Diane LaMacchia. 15:48 minutes.
