Workers will be hungerstriking at Taco Bell Corporate
Headquarters in Irvine, CA to stop sweatshop conditions in
Florida's Tomato Fields. Join the Bay Area caravan to the Feb 28
National Convergence at Taco Bell Headquarters. Get on the
Bus to Taco Bell/Irvine! Leaves late eve Thurs Feb 27 and
returns Fri Feb 28th eve. $10-30 round-trip/scholarships

** Kick off the Bay Area's mobilizations against the FTAA (Free
Trade Area of the America's) and the WTO (World Trade
Organization). The WTO Summit will take place in Cancun,
Mexico September and the FTAA Summit will take place In
Miami, Florida in October or November.
* PROTEST CAFTA; The CAFTA Summit of Trade Ministers in will
be meeting Cincinnati to negotiate the Central American Free
Trade Area (CAFTA). These "free" trade policies displace
workers and their dignity, create more poverty and sweatshops
and make bigger profits for corporations like Taco Bell.

de Trabajadores Immokalee haran una huelga de hambre en la
Sede Corporativa de Taco Bell en Irvine, CA para acabar con las
condiciones pésimas de trabajo en los campos de tomate de
Florida. Unéte a la caravana del Area de la Bahía a la
Convergencia Nacional del 28 de Febrero en la Sede de Taco
Bell.
. Comenzaremos las mobilizaciones contra el ALCA (Area de
Libre Comercio de las Americas) del Area de la Bahía y la OMC
(Organización Mundial del Comercio). La Cumbre de la OMC se
realizará en Cancún, México, en Septiembre y la Cumbre del
ALCA tomará lugar en Miami, Florida en Octubre o Noviembre.
. PROTESTAREMOS CONTRA ALCAC; La Cumbre de los
Ministros de Comercio del ALCAC se reunirá en Cincinnati para
negociar el Area de Libre Comercio de America Central
(ALCAC). Estas politicas de comercio "libre" desplazan a los
trabajadores y su dignidad, crean más pobreza y maquiladoras
y obtienen mayores ganancias para las corporaciones como
Taco Bell.
