Please join us on February 28th for a very special talk by Dr. Michael Greger entitled "Corporate Globalization: Trading Away Our Right to Protect Animals." Dr. Michael Greger will share his research about how global trade agreements and institutions such as GATT, NAFTA, and the World Trade Organization (WTO) have affected animals. He will offer his understanding of what impact the proposed Free Trade Area of the Americas (the expansion of NAFTA) will have on animals as well. This is a riveting and thought-provoking talk, infused with vast historical background and even humor, about what may be the greatest threat ever posed to animal protection.
Whether you consider yourself a human rights activist, a feminist, an animal activist, an environmentalist, a social justice activist -- or just someone who wants to know more about the destructive consequences of corporate globalization, please join us for this very special talk.
