War, Bush, Recession

Date:
Wednesday, January 22, 2003
Time:
7:00 PM - 9:00 PM
Event Type:
Meeting
Organizer/Author:
International Socialist Organization
Location Details:
Dwinelle Hall 233 UC Berkeley Campus

The world is not a pretty place. Millions of people have been thrown out of work, while hundreds of thousands have been cut off of unemployment insurance with no hope of finding a job. Governor Gray Davis has announced billions of dollars in budget cuts to education and social services. Yet while so many Americans are in need, Bush is intent on taking us into a war with Iraq. That it threatens to kill millions of people and cost hundreds of billions is of no concern in the quest for oil profits and world domination. It is time to connect the dots and see that Bush’s war on the world is also a war on working people at home. Come to the next meeting of the International Socialist Organization for a discussion on how we can stop this madness and build a system that works for better all of humanity not the rich few.
