Special guest speaker Marta Consuelo Hernandez, cofounder of Mujeres Radicales and the Workers and Peasants School in San Salvador, will discuss the impact of civil war and “free trade” policies on women. An eyewitness to the massive October 23, 2002 march against privatization of heathcare, Ms. Hernandez will describe how Salvadoran women are fighting poverty, sexism, and neoliberalism. A delicious Salvadoran roast chicken dinner, with vegetarian option, will be served at 6:30pm for an $8.50 donation. Door donation $2. Everyone welcome. The event is sponsored by Radical Women.
