Hosted by Ecocity Builders, a Berkeley based non profit organization working to rebuild cities in balance with Nature. Sharif is a long time friend of ecocities and was a speaker at the First International Ecocity Conference here in Berkeley in 1990. He is author of "The Power of One" and "Creating a World that Works for All." He has recently returned from Sri Lanka, where was part of a peace-making team that, with considerable local involvement, put an end to a 20 year shooting war.
