Dear Mother and Father, why am I here? In this hell! I only wanted to go to college, not here where we don't belong. Get me out please! It's hell! They hate us! And why shouldn't they? We invaded them, for Christ's sake! Whose country am I defending, anyway? Not the U.S..!
Love, your son
Ps. Get us out of here please!!!

Dear Mom and Dad,
.
You didn’t raise me to be a killer. This week, I killed an Iraqi. I can’t stop thinking about it.
Whose responsible?
Who lobbied for this war?
Just who’s country am I fighting for, anyway?
.
Love, Your Son

Show the true American spirit. Elect Peace!!!
Just another Back Page Story, that doesn’t even merit coverage in the US press. But for someone, it’s their life, or the life of their husband, their father, their son....
Gone, snuffed out fighting a war that can’t be won, started by those who don’t fight, but have others do
the fighting and dying for them.
"SOLDIER IS BLOWN UP
Dec 3 2003
AN AMERICAN soldier was killed yesterday near the site of US strikes which killed up
to 54 Iraqis.
Witnesses said a bomb was detonated under a military Humvee which then hit a civilian
vehicle.
US soldiers were seen using a stretcher to carry a body to a military truck.
The 4th Infantry Division soldier was killed just south of Samarra, the scene of clashes on
Sunday between US troops and guerrillas.
US commanders said up to 54 guerrillas were killed. But residents and hospital officials
said fewer than 10 mostly civilians died."

My nephew Sgt. Ryan C. Young died last Tuesday from injuries sustained in an attack on the Bradley he was riding in near Fallujah [sic].
Ryan wanted to be in the military for so many years and finally he was old enough to join. He excelled in his new profession and walked into the fire as asked to do.
Ryan may have personally not agreed with the presence of the U.S. military in Iraq, but he did not question our involvement because he was a good soldier.
Even though our family is devastated and heart broken over our loss of Ryan, we are still extremely proud of him for being the kind of man that he turned out to be and for doing what was asked of him even in the face of possible death.
I can only hope that he loved and respected me even a fraction of the amount that I admired, loved and respected my nephew.
To Ryan...Erin Go Braugh!

Every young man (and woman) who dies in Iraq, leaves behind a
grieving family........that will grieve FOREVER!
Why are these young American men and women dying in a
foreign Middle Eastern country that our so called leader and
spineless money-bought congress decided to invade, over the
objections of millions of Americans, millions of persons around
the world, the populations of EVERY single country (besides
Israel), countless world leaders, both political and spiritual (the
Pope, for god’s sake!).
Now America is in a Vietnam morass.......stuck in an a war that
cannot be won, will not be won, should never have been fought,
lobbied for by those who don’t fight and don’t send their children
to fight .........and in the meantime, our young American men and
women in uniform are being killed and maimed in Iraq
EVERYDAY!
