"Only love can conquer hate" --- now seriously, do you think if you would go up to a terroist and say "I love you man", that it would stop him? Do you really think love would have stopped 9/11? Do you think love would've kept Saddam and his cronies from all the evil he's done? Do you think love would stop bin Laden or Al Queda from doing what is it's doing? Do you think the Palestinians and the Israeli's can ever love each other enough to stop the killing?
Love means nothing to people who have a warped since of what they believe is the righteous thing to do.
You all who believe this are just fooling yourselves. You are not facing reality. These people who do these things do not care one bit about you, about your movement, or whether or not you are against the war or anything. If they care anything, it is to use YOU to help them further their cause. YOU ARE NOT LIKE THEM.... THEY CONSIDER ANYONE NOT LIKE THEM THE INFIDELS ...... THEY WOULD NOT HESITATE TO BLOW YOU ALL TO BITS IF YOU WERE IN THE WAY.
But then again, maybe you are all using THEM to further your cause.....

Harumph... I didn't say it, but then again, I did put the words in the vet's mouth. Generally, on most days, I'm not a pacifist. Semiotics signs... words signs... Somewhere in this world there has to be a balance between Dubya's 100% pure militarism and pacificism. Some middle ground where international and personal diplomacy is given a chance. If not, than we're no different, and can claim no moral highground, against those we are fighting.

We gave peace a chance, did we? Is that why we vetoed UN attempts to put human rights monitors in the occupied territories? We' ve been the world's largest arms dealer for who knows how long, but we were also giving peace a chance? We've been pursuing the strategy of "Dictators for Peace", and the rest of the world just doesn't get it, right?

"so much information" -- yes, so much BS .... you are guaranteed to find anything on the net to suit your beliefs.... whatever it is you want to believe about anything, it's out there... "read this" ... why it is you folks want us to take things like that seriously when you say everything else (that goes against your side) is lies or fabrications or conspiracy?
