Join Michael Franti of Spearhead and others for a multi-cultural Mother’s Day program of music, poetry, dance and personal testimony about the war and the path to world peace. Please join dozens of Bay Area peace and justice organizations as we reclaim the original meaning of Mother's Day, a day on which women would rise up and oppose war in all its forms. Through cultural performances--including music by hip hop artist Michael Franti--and personal testimonies by individuals who have experienced first-hand the devastation of war, we hope to deepen our understanding of the reality of war and put forward our vision of a world at peace.
