Cop With Donuts
A cop with donuts at the Thursday March 20 downtown SF march.
Me and a couple of friends saw a herd of cops jogging down 6th street, and we joked that there must be hot donuts ready. Not more than 3 minutes later a cop comes around the corner with a whole box of donuts! He hopped on one of those SamTrans cop RV thingys and the whole busload of cops erupted in cheering jubilee. What the hell is up with fucking cops and donuts?

They were probably just happy to have any kind of food after having to sit out there and baby sit all day.
All I can say is a picture is worth a thousand words and those boys are working cheap. Where the hell do the they get this$450 grand a day to bust heads. Hell, these boys will work for donuts!

People have been expressing sympathy for the police. I'm sure they're a bit stressed, but there is little real threat out there. There have been extremely few incidents of police being hit or kicked, and little property damage.
On the other hand, there are thousands of child care workers who get $6.50/hour for running around after 4 year olds a lot more. The police typically stand in one place or ride buses back and forth, so that sounds less distracting. A kindergarten teacher has to run around all day every day. My housemate is a security guard in the Western Addition, and they aren't paid so well, and often end up doing the real police work for an area, such as the apartment complex he monitors where there is lots of economic-based crime. Police regularly make $80-$100,000
