The police clashed with protesters after a small group of bad apples rammed a dumpster through the police line. One man is (In my opinion) wrongly arrest from a sitting positoin. Judge for yourself.

Anyone think that guy should've gotten arrested? I don't exactly know what happened, but from what I saw he was just sitting there. Tell me what ya think?

If he was contributing to a mob which forcibly detained the innocent, then sure, lock him up, prevent him from harming others, and ideally have him make compensation to society for the needless harm they caused.

It doesn't matter if he didn't push a garbage bin himself, because he provided cover for the weenie that did.

I certainly don't agree with that. I was sitting right next to him and I know he was used as an example, every area needed one, in order to show that they were not fucking around. I shot this tape myself, and I was on the frontline as well, assaulted by a police officer after taking the shot, so I know innocent protesters were hurt because of the carelessness and lack of common sense of a minority.

The picture shown was taken minutes before the hubbub began, and we (the entire crowd) were giving the cops the peace sign at the time and then decided to sit down peacefully. Force, In my opinion, was not warranted in this guys case. To be dragged from a sitting position, for what? I saw nothing, and nothing again on film, so thats my argument.

The folks near the guy wit da pink+black flag should ve locked arms and pushed the cops back. just the threat on the flank may have spared two of those grabbed.

PEACE!

The "RealPlayer" is an obnoxious program that must be installed in order to deal with files in that format.

I'd appreciate being able to see video without having to deal with a fairly hostile player/format.

hi netlistener,

i know it sucks, but right now that's the main option i have with my software other than windows format, and i ain't gonna go there

supposively the codecs are in the public domain so people can make alternative realvideo players, and i hope they do so soon. contact your local opensource crew.

quicktime is pretty widely available but my encoder is broken and i haven't had time to investigate whether i need to reinstall something or buy something or what, blah.

but still: what do you prefer and why? and thanks for piping up.

i'm not the one who posted this video by the way

Always -- because Realplayer is #1 hostile to M$ (or vice versa, really) #2 you can get Realplayers on all platforms including Unix, easily, #3. i *can't* easily get Quicktime, AVI, or even MPEG players on a Unix platform, though of course the quality is generally better, so i can't easily watch those.

Keep uploading in Realplayer, please!!

thx-
