Voice for Peace Silenced: Sound System Confiscated
Coverage of police confisc ation of peace marchers' primary sound system, and the bicycle and trailer being used to transport it.

in an effort to break the spirits of demonstrators, San Francisco Police have confiscated the bicycle mounted sound system that protestors have been using since Thursday morning to maintain the energy of the crowd and disseminate information. the sound system was up and running at 7th and Market Streets on Saturday evening, as hundreds of officers and demonstrators faced off. suddenly several officers stormed the sidewalk, surrounded the broadcasters, and dragged the bicycle and trailer into the street. the bicycle and soundsystem were violently thrown inside a waiting SFPD pickup truck, which immediately left the scene.
