M21 Hayes and Larkin mass false arrests

march reaches hayes st. (cops had blocked the other crosswalk to market st. with cycles). in the first photo you can see the marchers on the north side of hayes. you also see that they are along the side of the civic auditorium. a smaller group crossed and were on the south side of hayes on the sidewalk.

note the first of several trucks parked on the sidewalk on the north side of hayes. at this point the cops have the east side of hayes at larkin boxed in. marchers cross to the south side of hayes to march on the sidewalk there. there is no possible way to continue on the sidewalk on the north side of hayes st. due to the trucks and no way to go back to larkin due to the police blockade.

you can see the last of the marchers crossing and the main group on the sidewalk per the police directions. we are still being told by the cops that if we stay on the sidewalk

§cops arrive on cycles to block the west side of hayes st.
