SFPD Citing Cyclists
SFPD citing cyclists on Market Street - impeding flow & no headlights.
The SFPD have begin citing cyclists on Market Street. They are getting cited or arrested for impeding the flow and/or riding without a headlight after dark. I heard a cop to use that one because "it's after dar, you know."

There were reportedly some arrests or citations today, but considering how many bikes are in the streets, we're doing great!
Someone just emailed me this idea:
Since the prevalence of suburbs is U.S. are the main reason we're in Iraq,
how about moving the protests to Livermore and sticking them with the
$450,000 daily police bill?

I was pulled over on 14th and Mission about 3 months ago by CHP for turning left on red @ 2AM. Today I saw SFPD pull over a cyclist on Harrison St. There has definately been a shift in policy @SFPD in regards to citing cyclists.
