Exactly where is the claimed brutality? Although the justification for the arrest may be in question, the photos seem to depict a "by the book" arrest procedure that occurs thousands of time each day all across this country.

Defintion of police brutality:
1) innocent people are walking down the street and are violently attacked by police.
2) five cops at about 200 lb each twisting your arms, digging their knees into your back, kidney and lungs and pressing them onto your head. (sounds more like torture).
3) right to protest is denied.
4) injuries to body sustained during a violent take down by police.
5) being suffocated by five cops digging their knees into you.
It should be noted that in 2001, a man was murdered by four police officers in Toronto. They were doing a " routine by the book arrest." They suffocated him to death by 'taking him down' much in the same way these people were attacked, but they went even further. He never got to stand up handcuffed afterwards.
I think the problem with you M. Ray is that you are so de-sensitized by the American Propanda Machine, Hollywood and the Media that you cannot tell the difference between brutality, violence and non-violence.
STOP WATCHING T.V. and the show COPS. Go and see 'BOWLING FOR COLUMBINE.'
Okay!

The right to protest does not give you the right to resist arrest. The police are doing what they are supposed to do, ensure that a suspect is disabled and unable to inflict harm upon the arresting officers. Law enforcement officers are typically in far more danger that the suspects being detained

the cops are in danger? that's a HUGE laugh. they show up with weapons. they might be in danger if all of the protesters showed up with sticks and guns like they do. Yes, then they would likely be in danger, and perhaps not so quick to attack everyone.
The violent and brutal arrest of two little girls and a skinny guy hardly seems necessary. the fact that it took so many cops to do it says that too much money is being spent lining all of these piggy's banks with overtime pay.
