Arrests at San Fienstein's Office

by Katharine
3 People were arrested at about 12:20pm March 21 after requesting a meeting with Senator Diane Feinstein at her San Francisco Office at Montgomery and Market.
Today at about 12:20 10 people entered the building at One Post Street, San Francisco and requested a meeting with Senator Diane Feinstein or members of her staff. They said they wanted to speak to her about her position on the U.S. massive attack on Iraq occuring at the time, and to demand that she condemn the illegal invasion of IRaq. Security guards in the building called up to the office on the 24th floor , and were told by staff in the Senator's office that there was no one to see them and that the security guards were authorized to arrest them if they didn't leave. Several of the people agreed to leave but three constituents said that they would remain in the lobby until someone from the Senator's office would see them. Within minutes over a dozen CHP officers entered the building and arrested the three people. The were handcuffed, taken outside and forced to kneel in the middle of a circle of about 15 police and motorcycles, kept there on their knees for over half an hour and then taken away in a police van.
