YES ON O! Ethical coffee initiative: Video of Protests at Starbuck's and Peet's,Berkeley
A small but spirited group of demonstrators dressed as coffee farmers and accompanied by two Donkeys carrying large burlap sacks of coffee walked the streets of Berkeley protesting Starbuck's and Peet's large contributions to a dishonest campaign against Measure O, the ethical and responsible coffee initiative in Berkeley on the Monday before election day, November 4, 2002.

The real element of fascism here is the fact that the "democratic" system of voting is so abused that people did not understand this initiative, and were scared into voting against it. It's really not a surprise. So, we all lose in that sense. But the courageous and visionary group which sought to liberate millions of farmers and millions of square kilometers of rainforest starting with a stand here in Berekeley did not "lose", it isn't their persons which are invested, it's the interest of social and environmental justice throughout the world which lost.
