EMERGENCY ACTION!!!!
All Peeps Calls for a CIVIL DIS!!! of BUSH AND The WAR
___________________

Stand with the Iraqi People by Sitting on Market St SF!

4:00 PM • Tuesday • Oct 29 • 2002 • Or Sooner Market and Montgomery • SF

__________________

The time is now! Stop the war against Iraq; not only the "new war" but the war that already exists!

The All People's Coalition, All Peeps, is looking for at least 100 or more of the Bar Area's most courageous activists to join us in a sit-in on market street on October 29th. Lets turn out thousands to participate! Commitment to CD is not necessary to be part of this protest! This protest can, and should, have all levels of struggle involved.

This will be a follow-up of the big 26th demo. We will wear headbands with Iraqi flags, declaring our solidarity with Iraqi people and we will have a huge banner that says

"No Business as Usual! Stop the War in Iraq!"

However, Bush might get stupid before the 29th. If he does, on the day the headlines read the bombs are dropping, we hit the streets that night. 5pm. Same action.

If you can get with that, you need to contact the
email above! Seize the Time! We can win!

Can you edit the summary to say October 29 not 19? See main text for correct details.

thanks for pointing that out. yes it is the 29th, not tomorrow. if there's a way for the editor to fix that, much appreciated.

also, all peeps reps will be at this gathering tomorrow:

Tuesday, 10/22, SF: Bay Area Direct Action Coalition to Stop the War (unofficial name) organizing meeting. This is the growing group of organizers that brought you the Federal Building Peace Camp and Shut-down in response to the War Vote... Go the extra mile beyond marches and rallies to stop this war and the corporate-greed-machine fueling it! Join this growing web of Bay Area activists in devising creative, non-violent direct actions to stop the war and business-as-usual until democracy and justice prevail!!!! 7 PM, Redstone Bldg, 16th & Capp (1 blk east of Mission).

i suppose that if the editors are too busy to fix the correction, we will just repost the original story.

we are also gathering on friday night, 10/25, to create outreach materials for 26th and the 29th. it will be at the uhuru house in oakland, 7911 macarthur blvd. here's a map:

http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?country=US&addtohistory=&address=7911+macarthur+blvd&city=oakland&state=ca&zipcode=94610&homesubmit.x=36&homesubmit.y=9

we will create the headband to use on 29th, the banners and some placards for outreach.

please join us! allpeepsco [at] yahoo.com

This is too funny. For those who haven't seen, a photo on this wacko-left Indymedia web site captures the state of the peace movement. It shows a very, very old couple standing on a street corner, probably here in SF. The man has mutton chops and a mustache and holds a sign declaring "U.S. GUILTY of Genocidal Infanticide in IRAQ." The woman's sign pictures a flower, a tombstone and the slogan "WAR KILLS Children And other Living Things." (Wow, pretty original.) Misguided as they are, though, you can understand why these folks might have a revulsion for armed combat, since they no doubt lived through the trauma of World War I.

Your hatred for your elders, naked and undisguised, shows the true state of so-called "conservative" thinking. We enjoy publicizing your lobotomized hatreds as representative of all right wing thought. More and more true conservatives (those seeking to protect freedoms from political zealots like the neo-"conservatives") flock to the movement in the thousands as support for the Republicans and the Democrats slips to a new low
by HA
Whoop-de-shit!! Like I'm really worried about your "movement".
by ...........
In the long term ... I'm not too worried about yours, either :)
by HA
Seeing as I don't have a "movement", I'm not sure as to what you are refering. Since you mentioned that "in the long term" you're not worried about my (?) "movement", possibly you're worried about some "movement" in the short term from somebody else.

(Pulls up couch)

Lay down, Take a load off. Tell the Doc what's troubling you.

Oh, I see. You're just stuck here at SFIMC which you (a) hate and (b) are totally incapable of avoiding. Makes alot of sense .......
by Sheepdog
Unless we get the alternative fate, all of us will
be on that road.
by HA
You sure jump to conclusions fast. Like it's any of your business, but I'm here to read some of the articles regarding Bay Area activities. Seeing that you reacted within 20 minutes of my posting, it must be you that's totally incapable of avoiding SFIMC and must hate people who have a sense of humor. The photo of the old people is funny and the description and article written by Too Good was also amusing. And your "movement" is going nowhere. So I hand it off to you. So many of you defenders of this stuff just have to have the last word so you won't wet your bed at night or have bad dreams, so here's your chance. Make the best of it.
by ...........
Naw. You just like making fun of old people because that's the best you can do in life.

I believe these old people are FBI ops. Ask Matthew Willis. He should know.
