Fuck July 4th Mission District Protest!!
Looking to express your outrage, burn some amerikan flags, and participate in a diverse and serious opposition? Come to the Mission.
Don't celebrate Genocide, Slavery, and Brutality! The United Front calls all to make some noise to protest on the forth of July! We call all people of good will to stand with the people of the world on this forth of July in San Francisco at 24th and Mission st at 11 am, where the march will begin. We will peacefully, non-violently but militantly march, demonstrate, speak out, possibly burn flags, do street theater, leaflet, build our collective family of movement, and much more.
Why the forth of July? To quote Frederick Douglass:
"What to the American slave is your Fourth of July? I answer, a day that reveals to him, more than all other days in the year, the gross injustice and cruelty to which he is the constant victim. To him, your celebration is a sham; your boasted liberty, an unholy license; your national greatness, swelling vanity; your sounds of rejoicing are empty and heartless; your denunciations of tyrants, brass-fronted impudence; your shouts of liberty and equality, hollow mockery; your prayers and hymns, your sermons and thanksgivings, with all your religious parade and solemnity, are to him mere bombast, fraud, deception, impiety, and hypocrisy-a thin veil to cover up crimes which would disgrace a nation of savages. There is not a nation on the earth guilty of practices more shocking and bloody, than our the people of these United States, at this very hour." (December 8, 1850)
What is the united front? It is newly emerging coalition of people including representatives from AIM (the American Indian Movement), The People's Resistance, Students for Justice,and others, who recognize that we must build mass movement in this country to end the terrorism being perpetrated here in the USA and around the globe!
Since September 11, the US government, who is the greatest terrorist in the world today, has been trying to convince us all that they are the victims. Objective reality tells a much different story. We know this will most likely be the biggest celebration since the bi-centennial. They are working overtime to rally as much patriotic spirit they can in hopes that we will forget the genocide and horrific crimes against humanity they have perpetrated and continue to lead. The forth of July in America is the greatest hypocrasy holiday in the world. The America ruling classes have bombed, killed, hung, incarcerated, enslaved, colonized and perpetrated more campaigns of genocide against the people of the world more than anyone. Here are some of the innumerable examples of their crimes, always framed in the name of freedom and justice.
Hundreds of millions of native Indian's killed in five hundred years! The greatest land theft in all of history. The extermination of the majority of our ancestors who are the original inhabitants of this land. The forcing of survivors onto and into reservations, concentration camps Nazi-style.
400 plus years of African enslavement, lynchings, institutional racism, mass incarceration and forced oppression! It is the stealing of African and Indian babies, raping of our womyn, and the terrorization for people!
America is responsible for stealing half of Mexican lands and the killing of hundreds of millions of la raza!
They have mass-murdered Haitians, Cubans, Guatamalens, Puerto Ricans, Chileans, Peruvians, Columbian s, Indian's, Africans, Arabs, Asians, aboriginals, Europeans, and species.
They have created all kinds of fascist movements all over Latin America complete with death squads, mass rape, mass disappearances, and mass graves. They have colonized the whole of Latin America and forced imperialist chains on the hundreds of millions of la raza.
They have dropped the atomic bomb twice on Japan and her people killing hundreds of thousands of Japanese! They have murdered hundreds of millions of Asian people in the last 500 years!
The American imperialists have conquered many populations of Asians, like south Korea, south Vietnam, the Philipeans, Taiwan, killing and raping millions!
The rulers of America are presently at war with the Arabs, Palestinians and the majority of the muslim world. They have rounded up 1400 people of Arab decent who were living in the US and disappeared them! They have murdered millions of Arabs and still are killing the people in mass.

We were never told that we killed more civilians in WWII than any other country. In a nearby park children and parents of many different nationalities mingle and play together seamlessly. A nearby intersection features four churches on the four corners of four different religions. On weekend nights at a nearby teen hangout you can see several different races of boys and girls all socializing and dating each other. The Order was the most violent and notorious domestic terrorist group of the 1980s. Founded in 1983 by Robert J. Mathews, a recruiter for the neo-Nazi National Alliance and an activist in the Nazi-like and "Identity"-affiliated group Aryan Nations, The Order (also known as Bruders Schweigen, or Silent Brotherhood) drew its members from the National Alliance, Aryan Nations, and various Klan splinter groups. As a blueprint for its "revolution," The Order relied upon William Pierce's novel The Turner Diaries (see below), and many of the crims for which Order members were convicted resembled terrorist acts described in the book.
In its first year, The Order began accumulating a war chest for its real-life revolution when three members stole $369 from a Spokane, Washington store. Soon thereafter the group launched a counterfeiting operation at the Aryan Nations compound in Hayden Lake, Idaho, which was exposed when Order member Bruce Carroll Pierce was arrested for passing a phony $50 bill. Pierce was eventually convicted, but jumped bond and went underground until 1985. Before the end of 1983, Robert Matthews robbed the Seattle City Bank of $25,000.
The robberies escalated the following year. In March 1984, Order members diverted police by exploding a bomb in a Seattle theater while other members robbed an armored car parked outside a department store, seizing $500,000.
In addition to these crimes, Bruce Carroll Piece planted a bomb in a Boise, Idaho synagogue, which caused minor damage but no injuries. The Order also began assassingating perceived enemies, beginning with one of their own members, Walter West. West had aroused the suspicion of his comrades by, in their words, "talking too much." In May 1984, he was driven into the Idaho wilderness by Order members who then executed and buried him.
Another victim of The Order's terror was Alan Berg, a controversial Jewish talk-radio personality in Denver. Berg was murdered outside his home in June 1984 after he repeatedly goaded right-wing and white-supremacist extremists on his call-in program.
Around the time of this murder, Order members resumed their counterfeiting operation and robbed a Brink's armored truck near Ukiah, California. The hold-up yielded the group's biggest take - over $3.6 million - which was distributed for salaries, mobile homes, uniforms, vehicles, and weapons. The group also purchased parcels of land in Idaho and Missouri for paramilitary training camps and reportedly donated money to fellow extremists, including the leaders of Aryan Nations and the National Alliance.
The Order's revolution might have progressed even further if Mathews had not left a pistol at the scene of the Ukiah robbery, which the FBI traced to the mailbox of another Order member. In that mailbox authorities found Aryan Nations propaganda. Agents also obtained descriptions of Order members through their recovered vehicles. At the same time, Order member Thomas Martinez was arrested in Philadelphia for passing counterfeit money. Martinez agreed to become a government informant and flew to Portland, Oregon, to meet with Mathews and fellow Order member Gary Yarbrough.
Agents raided the hotel the next morning. Mathews wounded an officer before escaping and Yarbrough was arrested at the scene. Mathews was traced to Whidbey Island in Washington, where in December 1984 he held off 200 law enforcement officers for over 36 hours, until he died in a conflaguration set off by the ammunition with which he barricaded himself. On December 30, 1985, nine men and one woman - all members of the group - were convicted following a four-month Federal court case in Seattle. They were sentenced to terms of 40-100 years in prison, as well as stiff fines. Another member was convicted in a spearate trial of murdering a Missouri state trooper and was sentenced to life. In addition, 12 Order members pleaded guilty to various crimes; one had become a fugitive and was on the FBI's Ten Most Wanted list before his capture.

This isn't much diff than people at Hunters Point wanting big box stores because they were promised 'jobs' - a lot of times people are literally not informed about what the consequences will be and haven't thought it out, in part because they are desparate - (i.e., in this case they'd get min wage jobs and virtually no benefits while small businesses in the area get crushed) - so everyone can live by a mall of box stores - that's everyone's dream, isn't it? Isn't it everyone's dream to work at BLOCKbuster? I'd trash any neighborhood to have the honor to work at WALmart!
