International Answers' fact-finding delegation has just returned from Palestine, where they toured Gaza, Ramallah, Jerusalem, Jenin and other places from May 17-25, 2002. This forum will present Richard Becker, one of the delegates, and other speakers, as well as their new video, "Palestine Fights for Freedom." A small donation of $5-$10 is requested, but no one turned away for lack of funds.

This is a good opportunity to learn the latest on Palestine and to continue building the movement for solidarity with Palestine that was so prominent at San Francisco's 35,000 strong peace march on April 20, 2002. The students at UC and SF State still face charges for their actions in support of Palestine and need the largest base of support possible to have those charges dropped.

June is budget time in most cities and states, and with the information you receive at this forum, you can tell your representatives how much of the war budget would provide for healthcare, public transportation and all other social services that are being cut, while the military and police budgets are increased. We cannot have guns and butter, and it is time the priorities be reversed. It is the American taxpayers who are paying for the war against the Palestinian people, while we suffer a declining standard of living here in the US.
