Saudi Institute to Report on “Religious Freedom of Saudi Citizens”
(Washington, DC) – On Wednesday, January 30, Saudi Institute will release its 2nd report on religious freedom of Saudi citizens to highlight government practices and policies. The report “Religious Freedom in Saudi Arabia, Focus on Citizens,” details the difficulties that face Saudi citizens from all sects in practicing their faith.
The report will detail the policy of religious apartheid against the Ismaili Muslim minority, who are facing an official campaign of religious and cultural mutilation.
The report will address subjects such as: religious apartheid, persecution, religious killings, religious prisoners, book burning, razing of mosques and Islamic landmarks, and arrest of religious leaders from minority sects.
The report, which is written by Saudi citizens, will focus attention on government limitations on basic and personal religious freedoms. Ms. Karin Finkler of US Congress, Ms. Sharon Burke from Amnesty International, and Paul Marsh of Freedom House, will join Ali Al-Ahmed, the director, to discuss the report findings and answer questions.
