U.S.-R.P. MILITARY EXERCISES IN MINDANAO A TRIPWIRE TO A NEW VIETNAM?
Luis Jalandoni
Chairperson, NDFP Negotiating Panel

By sending 650 US combat troops, including 160 Green Berets and Navy Seals, with the approval of the puppet Macapagal regime, into a battle zone in Southern Philippines, U.S. imperialism is deliberately setting up a tripwire to a new Vietnam. The lame excuse is a joint military operation, dubbed Balikatan Exercise, against the CIA and AFP creation, the Abu Sayyaf group. The interventionist troops will be using live bullets, staying for six months up to a year, and authorized to fire back in so-called self defense.
US troops are not only in Mindanao, they are also setting up quarters in Laur, Nueva Ecija in Central Luzon.

The advocate of the failed all-out war against Mindanao under the discredited Estrada regime, General Angelo Reyes, let the cat out of the bag by announcing that after the Abu Sayyaf, the New People’s Army (NPA) would be the next target.

In their arrogance, U.S. imperialism and the Macapagal regime trample on the Manila government’s own constitution that forbids the entry of foreign troops except when a treaty allows it. The puppet Macapagal regime cites the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA) as the justification for the entry of the US combat troops. But the VFA even under the Manila government’s standards cannot be regarded as a treaty. The US Senate has not ratified it. Moreover the VFA does not allow US troops to join combat patrols..

The Macapagal regime’s reference to the Mutual Defense Treaty (MDT) of 1953 is likewise flawed, since the constitutional processes required by the MDT have not been fulfilled. Vice President and Secretary of Foreign Affairs Teofisto Guingona of the Manila government was not even informed of the approval of the so-called Balikatan War Games. He has also complained against unilateral acts of U.S. military forces in the Philippines in violation even of the VFA since the middle of last year. The VFA, MDT and the Mutual Logistics Support Agreement (MLSA) are among the anti-national and anti-people agreements and treaties that must be abrogated.

For the National Democratic Front of the Philippines, the ominous presence of the US interventionist troops is a flagrant violation of the national sovereignty of the Filipino people and the territorial integrity of the Philippines. The broadest united front of patriotic and progressive forces in the Philippines and in the international community must be mobilized to vigorously oppose and resist this latest US intervention in the Philippines that threatens to become a US war of aggression against the Filipino people. The American people and their anti-imperialist and progressive organizations, just as during the Vietnam War, must stand up and defy this US imperialist intervention against the Filipino people.

Our history is filled with lessons about US imperialist treachery and aggression. On February 4, 1899, the U.S. started the Philippine-American War by initiating an encounter with Filipino revolutionary forces. It used the false allegation that Filipino troops would start killing all foreign residents in Manila on
February 15, 1899. U.S. imperialism sent more than 126,000 troops to pacify the Filipino people and caused the death of up to 1.4 million Filipinos from 1899 to 1913. A great number of the Bangsamoro were also killed in Mindanao.

US intervention in Vietnam started with the sending of advisers and trainors, followed by combat troops. In the Philippines all these are coming in one go. The US manufactured the Tonkin Gulf Incident to justify its war of aggression. Now it uses the September 11 terrorist attacks in the US to wage a so-called global war on terrorism. The Abu Sayyaf group, their own creation in collaboration with their assets in the Philippine military, is their convenient excuse to intervene militarily again in the Philippines.

Whatever US imperialism uses to justify its intervention or aggression, the Filipino people and their revolutionary forces are determined to persevere in their struggle against US imperialism and the local reactionaries in order to achieve their national and social liberation. ###

Some thoughts and feelings from Jon Carl Skoglund
(God gave a free man a clearing in the forest):

Many years ago, National Geographic broadcast a documentary about people living
in the Kalawahari desert in northern South Africa. We call these people "Bushmen".
The family shown, a mother, and infant, a preteen son, and a father followed the
lions until the lions made a kill. This family wore no clothes, slept on the ground,
and had no shelter. When the lions killed, the father "Bushman" carried a long,
black stick, no knife, no gun, no spear. His wife and son each carried a sharp rock to
cut meat and skin. The husband walked toward the lions. His family walked closely
behind him. He beat the ground in front of him, and infront of the lions, and scared the
lions off. While the husband beat the ground in front of the lions, the mother and son cut the meat that they wanted from the lions' kill. Once done gathering the meat that they wanted, the left the kill to the lions.

These "Bushmen" stole from, or shared with the lions.
The "Bushmen" in our White House steal from the whole world.
Do the "Bushmen" in the White House think that they are
better than the "Bushmen" in the Kalawahari desert?
Probably. I don't.
The "Bushmen" of the Kalawahari desert will inheret the earth while
the "Bushmen" in the White House will inheret the Whirl Wind.

Recently, anthropologists found paintings on a cliff face overlooking the shore of
the ocean on the southwestern coast of South Africa. The anthropologists dated these
paintings to be about 200,000 years old. The anthropolgists could not figure out the
meaning of these paintings. The anthropologists asked the local "Bushmen" what
they thought these paintings meant. The "Bushmen" knew the meanings of the paintings
and explained to the anthropologists that the "Bushmen" have always practiced the
religion the meanings of which were shown in these paintings. Who's culture is better?
Who's culture has satisfied human needs longer? Who's culture will last?
The "Bushmen's" of South Africa whether near the ocean or in the desert has and will last.

The longest lasting Jewish and Christian kingdom was Ethiopia, which ended about
25 years ago. This Ethiopian kingdom descended from the union of king Soloman
and the Queen of Sheba. The Queen's son and the royal family became Jews and
spread their form of Judaism throughout Ethiopia.

Later, Ethiopia sent a 1,000,000 soldier army to conquer Israel. God cursed the Ethiopian army as it camped near Jerusalam. Within a few days, the entire Ethiopian
army had murdered itself.

In 1940, Italy conquered Ethiopia using 250,000 Italian troops. By 1945, less than
20,000 Ethiopian troops had conquered and expelled the Italian army.

Now, Ethiopian Christian clergy claim that they posses the Israelites' Ark of the
Covenant, which these clergy claim king Soloman's son and his friends stole from God's
Holy Temple in Jerusalam, and replaced it with a fake ark. God has cursed and blessed
Ethiopia many times since.

God sent Isaiah, naked to walk for three years through Israel, Egypt, and Ethiopia
proclaming God's curses on Israel, Egypt, and Ethiopia, prophesying that God
was going to send Assyria to strip naked and enslave all of Israel, Egypt, and
Ethiopia. God did drive the Assyrians to do just that.

But the Assyrians had not conquered the tribes of Judah, Benjamin,and Levi.
The Assyrians tried but were killed by God through disease as the Assyrians beseiged
Jerusalem. The king of Assyria went home defeted and was murdered by his sons.

Most people then and now have no fear of God or love for God. Most of the Jewish Bnai Mitzvot, the born again and not born again Christians, and the rest of humanity believe that only some of God's commandments apply, that the blessings and curses which God promised as consequences of either obeying or disobeying His commandments are not real. Most Israelites, Egyptions, Ethiopians, and Assyrians felt the same way while God prophesied for and against them. God's commandments and His blessings and curses are real.
God has blessed us. But God's curses are comming to a theater near you. God will
make all of our violent entertainments come true.

From my reading, I have concluded that:
1. hericane Andrew was engineered and guided as a weather weapon by our own
government against south Dade county Florida;
2. our military has boasted for decades the they own the weather;
3. the attacks on the federal building in Oklahoma City attack,
the World Trade Center, on the Pentagon, flights 0700, 103, 800, were carried out
by agents of our government in order to terrorize us into a police state;
4. the governments in the U.S.A. are corrupt beyond redemption;
5. no legal action through the courts will stop the governments' criminals;
6. the governments of the English speaking countries have, unofficially, declared war
on their own citizens and on the rest of the world;
7. my government has killed my Constitution;
8. my government has, is, and will murder millions, and then will murder billions;
9. my government and country are cursed by God;
10. In the service of the only God, YHVH, I will give my life to defend my country against my government without violence.

Below are some quotes which I hope you will find to be useful.

"Fundamental, Bible-believing people do not have the right to indoctrinate their children in their religious beliefs because we, the state, are preparing them for the year 2000 when America will be part of a one-world global society, and their children will not fit in." (Nebraska State Senator Peter Hoagland (1982))

Did you get that?
Did you understand all three points?
1) Peter Hoagland believes that by the year 2000, we will live under a global system.
2) Christians will not fit into this system.
3) Because of this, Christians do not have the right to educate their children according to principles which will alienate them from this (dare we say it?) New World Order.

Observe good faith and justice towards all Nations; cultivate peace and harmony with all. Religion and Morality enjoin this conduct; and can it be, that good policy does not equally enjoin it? It will be worthy of a free, enlightened, and, at no distant period, a great Nation, to give to mankind the magnanimous and too novel example of a people always guided by an exalted justice and benevolence.

Comments by jon Carl Skoglund: The Romans drafted their citizens to fight their wars, stole the property and enslaved the families of their soldiers while their soldiers faught Rome's wars.
When Roman soldiers came home, the were enslaved because they could not pay the
taxes. Two thirds of Athen's population were slaves. Athens became impoverished because of the expenses of her wars. Then the military dictators ruled Athens and Rome.
Do not copy the Romans and Greeks.
Read Plato's "Republic" which is an excelent history and analysis of political evolution.
Democracy is a myth which is only temporarily real in small tribes.

I realize such a person might be accused of being "anti-American," a traitor, or even "paranoid," but there's a line in the Woody Allen film entitled: "The Curse of the Jade Scorpion," where Dan Ackroyd says: "There's a word for people who think other
people are always conspiring against them." To which Woody Allen replies, "Yes. Perceptive."

"Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that. Hate multiplies hate, violence multiplies violence, toughness multiplies toughness in a descending spiral of destruction...

The chain reaction of evil - hate begetting hate, wars producing more wars - must be broken, or we shall be plunged into the darkness... of annihilation." ~ Martin Luther King, Jr.

If you love wealth better than liberty, the tranquillity of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, go home from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains set lightly upon you and may
posterity forget that ye were our countrymen. - Samuel Adams speech at the Philadelphia State House, August 1, 1776
1961 -- The U.S. State Department issues a plan to disarm all nations and arm the United Nations. State Department Document Number 7277 is entitled Freedom From War: The U.S. Program for General and Complete Disarmament in a Peaceful World. It details a three-stage plan to disarm all nations and arm the U.N. with the final stage in which "no state would have the military power to challenge the progressively strengthened U.N. Peace Force."

Late July, 1991 -- On a Cable News Network program, CFR member and former CIA director Stansfield Turner (Rhodes scholar), when asked about Iraq, responded:
"We have a much bigger objective. We've got to look at the long run here. This is an example -- the situation between the United Nations and Iraq -- where the United Nations is deliberately intruding into the sovereignty of a sovereign nation...Now this is a marvelous precedent (to be used in) all countries of the world..."
The rights of the people come before the profits of lawyers. The courts exist for the sole purpose of serving the people and not for the self interests of judges and lawyers.
Our courts will never be fair and just unless we force lawyers and judges to follow their own rules. Unknown

Soon, Tom Ridge will implement this same tactic here which we are now using in Afganistan.

Alexander Hamilton, who was a proponent of a strong chief executive, wrote in 1793: "It is the province and duty of the Executive to preserve to the Nation the blessings of peace. The Legislature alone can interrupt those blessings, by placing the Nation in a state of War."

Writing a year later, Hamilton emphasized that "war is a question, under our
constitution, not of Executive, but of Legislative cognizance. It belongs to Congress to say -- whether the Nation shall of choice dismiss the olive branch and unfurl the banners of War."

Casualties of War Will Include Surpluses, Civil Liberties
It's been said by some that the first casualty of war is truth. If that's so, then the second casualty of war arguably might be liberty and the third the U.S. Treasury. One of the biggest beneficiaries of war, on the other hand, is government - which can grow like a cancer and binge like a sailor when fueled by a crisis. Sean Paige, Insight Magazine, 10/16/01

"The first casualty of war is truth"

The legislature is to society as a physician is to the patient. If a physician ignored side effects of medications like today's legislators ignore the side effects of their legislation, the physician would be accused of malpractice. I accuse today's legislators (with rare exception) of legislative malpractice. Many of the ills that are so obvious in our society are a direct result of previous legislation. Their solution? More laws! ~~ John A. Bennett, DO

I have sworn upon the altar of Almighty God eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man. --THOMAS JEFFERSON

"For two centuries we've done the hard work of freedom. And tonight we lead the world in facing down a threat to decency and humanity. What is at stake is more than one small country, it is a big idea - a new world order, where diverse nations are drawn together in common cause to achieve the universal aspirations of mankind: peace and security, freedom, and the rule of law. Such is a world worthy of our struggle, and worthy of our children's future."
President George Bush State of the Union Address 1991

"We will succeed in the Gulf. And when we do, the world community will have sent an enduring warning to any dictator or despot, present or future, who contemplates outlaw aggression. The world can therefore seize this opportunity to fufill the long-held promise of a new world order - where brutality will go unrewarded, and aggression will meet collective resistance."
President George Bush State of the Union Address 1991

Within our own borders we possess all the means of sustenance, defense, and commerce; at the same time, these advantages are so distributed among the different states of this continent as if nature had in view to proclaim to us - be united among yourselves, and you will want nothing from the rest of the world. Samuel Adams, July 4, 1776, on Independence

"Few are willing to brave the disapproval of their fellows, the censure of their colleagues, the wrath of their society. Moral courage is a rarer commodity than bravery in battle or great intelligence. Yet it is the one essential, vital quality for those who seek to change a world that yields most painfully to change. Each time a person stands up for an idea, or acts to improve the lot of others, or strikes out against injustice, (s)he sends
forth a tiny ripple of hope, and crossing each other from a million different centers of energy and daring, those ripples build a current that can sweep down the mightiest walls of oppression and resistance." Robert F. Kennedy
For the answer to this question we must turn from Jefferson to Jefferson's source, John Locke, who tells us exactly what "equality" in the libertarian sense is: namely, a condition
wherein all the power and jurisdiction is reciprocal, no one having more than another, there being nothing more evident than that creatures of the same species and rank, promiscuously born to all the same advantages of nature, and the use of the same faculties, should also be equal one amongst another, without subordination or subjection. . . .[3]
As Locke explains:
[B]eing all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions. . . . And, being furnished with like faculties, sharing all in one community of nature, there cannot be supposed any such subordination among us that may authorise us to destroy one another, as if we were made for one another's uses, as the inferior ranks of creatures are for ours.[4]
As Locke sees, equality in authority entails denying to the legal system's administrators-and thus to the legal system itself-any powers beyond those possessed by private citizens:
[T]he execution of the law of nature is in that state put into every man's hands, whereby every one has a right to punish the transgressors of that law to such a degree as may hinder its violation. . . . For in that state of perfect equality, where naturally there is no superiority or jurisdiction of one over another, what any may do in prosecution of that law, every one must needs have a right to do.[5]
Lockean equality involves not merely equality before legislators, judges, and police, but, far more crucially, equality with legislators, judges, and police.
William Randolph Hearst, is commonly quoted as having said during the Spanish-American War, "Truth is the first casualty of war."
"The US supports the status quo whatever it is. They talk about democracy and then ignore it; they talk about the UN and ignore it; in every way you can accuse them of double standards. It is revolting to see them talking about democracy and then supporting undemocratic regimes. They talk about international legitimacy and then support what the Israelis are doing." Mohamed Heikal, Arab's most respected commentator

Alexander Hamilton in Federalist Paper #8 warned us of men with such dialectical programs: "The continual alarm on a state of continual danger will compel the people most attached to liberty to resort for security to institutions which have a tendency to destroy their civil and political rights. To be more safe, they (the People) become willing to risk their freedoms."

The legitimate powers of government extend to such acts only as are injurious to others. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say there are twenty gods, or no god. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg. -- THOMAS JEFFERSON (1781)

"When principles that run against your deepest convictions begin to win

The Oath of Office: I "name", do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely; without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter.

The Pope is blunt on the nature of the total state: Ten years ago, Centesimus Annus
In the totalitarian and authoritarian regimes, the principle that force predominates over reason was carried to the extreme. Man was compelled to submit to a conception of reality imposed on him by coercion, and not reached by virtue of his own reason and the exercise of his own freedom. This principle must be overturned and total recognition must be given to the rights of the human conscience, which is bound only to the truth, both natural and revealed. The recognition of these rights represents the primary foundation of every authentically free political order. Pope John Paul II,
He offers severe criticisms of the democratic state:
Authentic democracy is possible only in a State ruled by law, and on the basis of a correct conception of the human person . . . if there is no ultimate truth to guide and direct political activity, then ideas and convictions can easily be manipulated for reasons of power. As history demonstrates, a democracy without values easily turns into open or thinly disguised totalitarianism.
And of the welfare state:
By intervening directly and depriving society of its responsibility, the Social Assistance State leads to a loss of human energies and an inordinate increase of public agencies, which are dominated more by bureaucratic ways of thinking than by concern for serving their clients, and which are accompanied by an enormous increase in spending.
The document is just as severe in its attack on the warfare state:
I myself, on the occasion of the recent tragic war in the Persian Gulf, repeated the cry: "Never again war!" No, never again war, which destroys the lives of innocent people, teaches how to kill, throws into upheaval even the lives of those who do the killing and leaves behind a trail of resentment and hatred, thus making it all the more difficult to find a just solution of the very problems which provoked the war.
This is ABSOLUTELY the Monday Quote of the Day.

the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. Only foundation of a free Constitution is pure and virtue, and if this cannot be inspired into our People in a greater Measure than they have it now, they may change their rulers and the forms of government, but they will not obtain a lasting liberty."]

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

President George Walker Bush January 17, 2002
The White House
1600 Pennsylvania Av. NW
Washington, DC 20500

Subject: Treason

All three branches of the federal government of the United States of America have committed treason and are
committing treason. The corruption of the federal government, the state governments, and the local governments
of the U.S.A. explode like a volcano. I have total contempt for the governments of the U.S.A.. I declare my total
contempt for, and my rebellion against the governments of the U.S.A. The federal government has killed the
Constitution of the U.S.A. All federal laws are now invalid.

The federal government has murdered millions of people, is murdering millions of people, and will murder millions of people.

I will not run away. I will not hide. I will not use violence. I will not obey any federal laws.
I fight you with by this declaration and protest which I will broadcast as widely as possible.

The governments of the U.S.A. are cursed by God and will consume themselves and
each other with their evil.

You, Mr. President are a traitor, murderer, liar, thief, and worse of all, you are an
idolater. You, your government, and the U.S.A. are cursed by God.

This is a good day to die. I am glad to be on your "Red List".

Sincerely
