Indybay Feature
What happened to the black background on this site?
An explanation from sf-imc tech collective about what happened to the black background and why SF Indymedia looks so different!
This weekend, the SF-IMC tech collective switched over to a new design and an updated codebase. The default site has a white background, based on the large number of comments we got about people unable to read the white on black site. However, due to *overwhelming demand* we have implemented a 'customizable themes' feature so that you can switch back to the old black background if you want.
To switch themes, click on one of the colored boxes in the upper right-hand corner of the site.
We have already gotten a request for a site with a background of soft grey, so we will add that one soon.
You can also go to:

Please send any comments to imc-sf-tech [at] indymedia.org
Thank you!!

Thanks for implementing the change and the ability to customize...
IMC is selling out with this white background!! oohhhh we have a CHOICE huh, my COMMUNISM is not ONE CLICK AWAY thank YOU
okay.
just kidding.
Just Kidding. I did indeed try this (on Crocker!). Unfortunately, I was out there for about 1.5 hours, and nothing happened. No one even approached me, except a newspaper delivery guy to say "good morning".
I'll try it in a more dramatic fashion sometime soon.
