Emergency Protest at Feinstein Office @4PM
There will be an aemergency protest today at 4 Pm at Feinstein's office against her racist bill against International Students.
Protest Dianne Feinstein's Anti-Immigrant Bill
On Thursday, November 8, at 4pm, concerned college students, university
faculty, and members of the immigrant community will demonstrate outside of
Senator Dianne Feinstein's San Francisco office in response to her
anti-foreigner bill drafted with Senator Jon Kyl.
The protest will begin at 4 pm, at One Post Street (near Montgomery and
Market) in San Francisco.
Feinstein and Kyl's proposed Senate bill would ban visas to students and
academicians from Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Libya, Syria, Cuba, and North Korea,
countries that the U.S. lists as "terrorist nations." It also contains
provisions for increasing surveillance of immigrants' activity and if
passed, will exacerbate INS harassment of immigrant communities, submit
foreign scholars to collective punishment, and fuel the dangerous backlash
against immigrants.
