Congress voting on bills without reading them

According to a guest on the Newshour, Wendy Kaminer, this evening, members of Congress are having to call up the ACLU to ask what they just voted on. There is such a rush and stampede that they are not representing their districts by not being aware of what they are voting on.

The point: they need some input from their constiuents! Please take a look at the bills being passed - the USA bill is very scary and other countries are falling in line behind the US.

James McDermott (D) Washington is also a guest expressing dissent, standing up for his right even against another guest asking him if he has any kindred spirits. He referred to Barbara Lee.
