CINCINNATI UPDATE: Hundreds Marching downtown from the funeral of Timothy Thomas
As of 2:20 pm Saturday, hundreds of people, both black and white, have left the funeral and are marching towards downtown

As of 2:20 pm Saturday, hundreds of people, both black and white, have left the funeral and are marching towards downtown chanting and shouting. They have been marching down Elm, and are being joined by people along the way. They faced off a number of riot police at Central Parkway. The group then turned back toward Washington Park to decide what to do next. Listen to the audio of people in the march telling why they are out there today, and asking for people to come to Cincinnati or at least show some support for the people there. If nothing else, you can at least call City Hall at 513-352-5200 and let them know what you think.

This is a transcript of the above interview. It's a few minutes where a masked black man talked about race, the protests, the media, why he masks up and what he wants.
Masked Man:
This ain't about no race. It's ain't about race at all, cus if it was about race you're talking to a black man talking to a pretty white woman. If it was about race she wouldn't be standing next to me. It's about these crooked police that been doing this since we was little, taking us to allies, jumping on us, putting pax on us. White and black, it's not a white black thing, even though some people done it, yeah, they want to change it around on us. Annt! For a minute they were doing it, they started crashing cars with white people in it. That wasn't right. That ain't got nothing to do it. Then we started crashing cars with police in it. That's right! I wish we could have turned it over, for real. But it's not a white black thing at all. That's far from the truth. The media tries to make it out to be a white black thing. It ain't a white black thing. It's about civil rights. Our civil rights. Take this out, this is what makes it so deep, we already got our civil rights. They had to give us another law to ?????? our civil rights!
Jenka:
You may have gotten civil rights, but no human rights?
Masked Man:
No, we got our civil rights, just like you got your civil rights. The law that says the police can't just pull us over because we're black. Why do we need that law?
Jenka:
Oh, you mean racial profiling.
Masked Man:
Racial profiling. Why do we need a law on top of that law.
Jenka:
Apparently some legislators don't understand what civil rights actually mean.
Masked Man:
Yeah, we got the same rights as everybody, right or wrong. We're on our way towards main street.
Jenka:
Can I ask you something? Why do you wear a mask?
Masked Man:
Why do I wear a mask? Because I don't want them to know who I am. Cus if they know me, who I am, cus if they know me, know who I am, once this is all over with, everbody gonna get to jail. They gonna get us eventually. You know what i'm saying. If they can't get us out here by shooting at the like the killers they are. They'll put us in the penitentary. Plain and simple.
Jenka:
They try to single people out.
Masked Man:
Yeah they will do that, they have did it. So that's why i wear a mask, it's that i'm out here trying to loot, things, i ain't even own that. I'm ready for the revolution.
