Muslim Perspectives on Events
Muslim perspectives on the intifada, american elections and the iraq sanctions
After covering the Pro-Democracy rally in San Francisco I ran into some fellow Muslim American activists
returning from a protest to end the sanctions against `Iraq. I was able to catch up with Yousef al-Yousef an college professor
that is originally from Palestine. He is the Executive Director of American Muslims for Global Peace and Justice, a pro-active
muslim organization that advocates for local justice and international justice and peace. I interviewed
him in the foyer of the local masjid (a.k.a. mosque) in the "tenderloin", San Francisco's ghetto. Areas covered were the Intifada,
Iraq and Muslim Bashing in American Politics.
