Day of Conscience for Darfur, Crissy Field Rally, San Francisco, April 30, 2006 (2 of 3)

Most of those who participated in the Silent Vigil also attended the afternoon Rally at Crissy Field in the Presidio. The crowd grew over time as passers-by joined for the music, the speakers, and/or support for the people of Darfur. While there were numerous sponsors and co-sponsors, including the main organizers at OurPledge.org, Students Taking Action Now: Darfur (STAND) from Stanford were credited with creating the impetus for pulling the San Francisco event together.
