Oakland had its share of immigrant rights protesters who filled the City Center in a matter of seconds during the lunch hour. Many of these marchers gathered at the corner of E. 14th St./International Blvd. & 98th Ave. in Oakland to march to the downtown Oakland Federal Building.
From there, hundreds more organized by Mujeres Unidas y Activas joined the march at the Fruitvale Plaza at International Blvd. and Avenida de la Fuente/34th Ave.
By noon, the march that began on International Avenue funneled by Lake Merritt and into downtown Oakland at the Oakland Federal Building, where Congresswoman Barbara Lee hosted a press event.
