May 1st UCSC solidarity demonstration
IMPORTANT SANTA CRUZ CITY MOBILIZATIONS!
MASS DEMONSTRATIONS AGAINST THE CURRENT IMMIGRATION REFORM PIECES IN LEGISLATION AND IN CELEBRATION OF MAY 1ST WORKERS DAY
MAY 1ST IS THE NATIONAL BOYCOTT DAY.
May Day is around the corner and the people of this nation are calling for a general strike and boycott. Santa Cruz will not fall behind; Students are planning to hold a demonstration on May 1st in solidarity with the workers of this campus, the Santa Cruz community, the nation, and the working class around the globe.
Our Message
We believe that all individuals regardless of nationality are entitled to freedom and human rights. To achieve this, neo-liberal trade agreements, like NAFTA, must end because they are the root problem. So called “solutions” such
as S2454 and the proposed new guest worker program offer no true solution. We demand amnesty and dignity to all undocumented immigrants without shame.
