Thousands and thousands of anti-abortion protesters, carrying "Women Deserve Better" (than abortion) signs along with a few mutilated fetus pictures, marched through the blocked-off streets of San Francisco, from the Embarcadero to Fisherman's Wharf. A huge, excessive police presence kept the two apart, with foot and motorcycle cops ushering the permitted march through and keeping the counter protestors apart on the sidewalk. Up to 1,000 counter protestors followed on the sidewalk, chanting them down.

The rally was non-violent and appeared to be without arrests. Hear some of the pro-choice chants, including at the police for detaining a black-clad protestor for a "crime" of carrying water balloons on the sidewalk. (6 minutes)
