Camp Casey SF Update 4:45 p.m.
Police informed activists that tents must come down and all signs must be removed from the fence next to the War Memorial Bldg.
The police just came by and informed us that our tents must come down, and all signs must be removed from the fence next to the War Memorial Building. They were polite, but gave us a 30 minute ultimatum with no flexibility. A dozen or so of us are planning on spending the night, and it's already quite chilly. The cops suggested that we sleep in our cars, which is not an option for everyone, since some folks arrived on public transportation. One activist planning on spending the night uses a wheelchair for mobility, and would not be able to sleep in a car. Forcing her to take down her tent would require her to stay outside all night without shelter. We urge everyone to come to the War Memorial Building and lend their support.
